The Beginnings of The Book Hut

Last week saw me move into my new studio with the help of The Man and my wonderful folks. It has meant a few days of huffing and puffing whilst moving huge amounts of paper and general stuff from my garage, under the sofa, in the drawers (the list goes on!) and accumulating it into the studio – very exciting!

  1. Dear Bookhutter,

I have a question that you might be able to answer. I am an Egyptologist trying to save a badly waterstained folio book on Nubia.

I know I need a screen under the print and made one from aluminum screening. It isn’t perfectly flat and I think is the cause of wrinkles in my first attempt. Are there professional screens that can be bought?

    Thanks.
